CEWA People’s Choice Queen Program Overview
The CEWA People’s Choice Queen program is a community-driven scholarship fundraiser benefiting students through Central/Eastern Wayne Alumni & Friends, Inc. (CEWA).

How the Program Works
- Community voting determines the Queen
- Will crown 2 Queens and acknowledge 2 runners up
- Each vote = $1 donation
- $5 minimum per voting transaction
- Voting period: March 22, 2026 (12AM) – May 11, 2026 (11:59PM)
- All votes are non-refundable
- Winners will be announced May 13, 2026 and additional details will be provided at that time
Who Can Participate
- Youth (under 18) – (Jr. Miss CEWA)
- Adults (18 and over) – (Miss CEWA)
Participants may be CEWA alumni, relatives of alumni, or community supporters.
Required Materials
- Completed application online or you may mail it to

- Parent/Guardian consent (Youth only under 18 years of age)
- One recent headshot photograph (chest up only)

- This is not a judged pageant
- No interviews, talent, or competition segments
- Title is based solely on community voting support

ROLE AND PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS OF THE CEWA PEOPLE’S CHOICE QUEEN
- Attend and participate in the (1) MDW Parade held Saturday, May 23, 2026 (2) Coronation Ceremony, held Saturday, May 23, 2026 in conjunction with the CEWA Scholarship Dance
- Represent CEWA with professionalism and respect during all official appearances
- Support scholarship fundraising and community engagement efforts during 2026-27 reign
- Represent CEWA with integrity, respect, and professionalism
- Promote CEWA Mission

- First Runner-Up(s) will be formally acknowledged during the coronation ceremony

What is the CEWA People’s Choice Queen program?
The CEWA People’s Choice Queen program is a scholarship fundraising initiative that allows the community to support CEWA scholarships through voting. The titleholder is determined by the total number of votes (donations) received during the voting period. We will crown a Jr. Miss CEWA and a Miss CEWA.

How does voting work?
- Each vote equals a $1 donation
- There is a minimum contribution of $5 per voting transaction
- Voters may vote multiple times during the voting period
- Voting will occur online for each contestant – each will have her own voting link
- Votes may also be collected in person via check or money order (payable to CEWA) - only the amounts turned in will be counted as votes

When is voting open?
Voting is open March 22, 2026 @12AM through May 11, 2026 @11:59PM.

Where does the money go?
All funds raised directly support CEWA programs.

Are votes refundable?
No. Votes are considered charitable donations and are non-refundable.

Is this a competition or judged pageant?
No. This is a People’s Choice fundraiser, not a judged competition. There are no interviews, talents, or scoring panels. The title is awarded based solely on community voting support.

Can I vote for more than one contestant?
Yes. Voters may support one or multiple contestants, as often as they choose, during the voting period.

How is the winner determined?
The contestant who receives the highest total number of votes (donations) by the close of voting will be crowned.

Is voting a reflection of personal worth or ability?
No. Voting reflects community engagement and fundraising support only.

What happens after I submit my application?
You will receive a voting link via email with a link you may share with family and friends so they may vote.

Note: PAYMENT OPTION (Zeffy without Fees)
We use Zeffy, a free platform for nonprofits that ensures 100% of raised funds go towards Central/Eastern Wayne Alumni & Friends. Zeffy is funded solely by contributions or tips from donors. You can consider supporting them at the end of your transaction. Zeffy currently has a tip default rate based on the dollar amount, however you can select a different contribution or tip amount by clicking "Other" in the dropdown.

Example: $50 Donation (50 Votes) + 17.00% (8.50) = Total USD $58.50
Central/Eastern Wayne Alumni & Friends will receive $50 (100% of your donation)
Zeffy's default contribution or tip request of $8.50 (17%) is OPTIONAL
After the payment window opens and you press CONTINUE, a default Zeffy tip percent will be displayed in the dropdown list
